Information
Buy gold five coin
The gold five coin, also known as the five gulden coin, is a remarkable piece of Dutch history. This gold coin was minted between 1826 and 1912, with a total circulation of approximately 4 million coins, significantly fewer than the more well-known gold ten-gulden coins. These gold coins weigh 3.36 grams and are composed of 90% pure gold (3.024 grams). In the Netherlands, they are primarily traded based on their gold value. We offer gold five-cent coins from various years, but it is not possible to specify a preference for a particular year, as we cannot accommodate this in our warehouse.
Gold five-cent coins are a popular choice for those looking to invest in physical gold. These coins have a rich history and have managed to maintain their value over the years.
Design of the gold five coin
The gold five coins have been minted in various designs. The older specimens feature portraits of King Willem I, Willem II, and Willem III, while the most common gold five coins showcase the portrait of Queen Wilhelmina on the reverse side. The obverse displays the coat of arms of the Kingdom of the Netherlands at its center, with the nominal value "5 G" depicted on either side of the coat of arms. The year is shown at the bottom center of the coin, along with the text "KONINKRIJK DER NEDERLANDEN."
The reverse features the portrait of the reigning monarch, along with the name of the royal highness. Depending on the reign period, each gold five coin has a unique character, reflected in the varying likenesses of the monarch.

Investment score
This product has an A-label (Our top 100 products). This means that it is one of our most common products. When purchasing physical precious metals, we recommend looking at both the lowest price per gram and the lowest spread. The spread indicates the difference between the buying and selling price. An A-label means this is a favorable choice when buying gold and silver.
Label informationInvestment score: An A-label means that this is one of our most common products. When purchasing physical precious metals, we advise looking at both the lowest price per gram and the lowest spread. The spread indicates the difference between the buying and selling price. An A-label signifies that this is a favorable choice when buying gold and silver.
Investment score: A B-label means that this is a common coin or bar, which is widely tradable worldwide. However, a product with this label is more expensive than a product with an A-label, so as an investment in physical gold and silver, this product is not the most cost-effective choice.
Investment score: A C-label means that this is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. Products with a C-label are considered collectibles.
