Every year the design of the Panda coins is changed to a new Panda design, making the coins popular among collectors as well as investors.The Chinese Panda coin is the only coin issued in a weight of 30 grams (0.9645 troy ounce) instead of the usual size of 1 troy ounce silver coins. The 30-gram silver Panda coin 2024 contains 99.9% fine silver.
The obverse of the coin features two giant pandas, an endangered species and also known from the logo of the World Wide Fund for Nature (the WWF). The finish of the coin is particularly high, making the pandas look very detailed.
Design of the 30 gram silver Panda coin 2024
Obverse
The obverse shows a new Panda design every year. The 2024 silver Panda coin features two giant pandas, a mother panda with her young. Also on the obverse are the inscriptions 10 YUAN - the face value of the silver coin and 30g Ag. 999 - the weight, metal type and purity of the coin.
Reverse
The reverse side of the 2024 silver Panda coin features the Temple of Heaven. Located in a park in southern Beijing, this temple is an important prayer hall for the Chinese people. On the top is the Chinese inscription People's Republic of China and below in the year of issue 2024.
