Information

3 troy ounce silver Chameleon Amazing Animals coin

This 3 troy ounce silver coin dedicated to the incredible animal world is from the Amazing Animals series. The first issue within this series is dedicated to the chameleon. It uses a high relief antique finish and an enamel finish. Enamel is the protective layer of molten glass applied to objects made of metal to protect, insulate or decorate them.

The coin contains 3 troy ounces - or 93.3 grams - of 99.9% pure silver. In its country of origin, Niue, the coin has a face value of $7.

With an mintage of only 421 pieces worldwide, this coin is a unique item within your collector's collection. The coin therefore comes in a beautiful presentation box along with the certificate of authenticity.

Details

On the reverse side of the coin, one can admire a splendid chameleon with its long tongue pointing towards a grasshopper lying on a leaf. The chameleon is rich in details: it has zygodactyl feet, perfect for climbing trees, and its typically curled tail is visible, used for grasping or holding objects. The animal is depicted in high relief and features a holographic enamel finish, allowing it to change color, just like in real life.

Tilting the coin and discovering the various color nuances in which the chameleon can transform is fascinating to observe! Additionally, the animal has a bright eye, thanks to a crystal insert that completes the beautiful design! In the background, the antique finish quality is evident, with many different leaves featuring fine lines in relief.

On the obverse side of the coin, one can see the curled tail of the chameleon and, at the top, Queen Elizabeth II. Also depicted are the country of origin 'Niue', the nominal value of '7 dollars', the purity of the coin 'Ag 999' (99.9% pure silver), and finally the year of issue '2021'.

Investment score

This product has a C-label (Collectibles). This means it is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. We consider products with a C-label to be collectibles. These are often coins minted in limited quantities, with luxury packaging and a unique theme.

Label information
A-label

Investment score: An A-label means that this is one of our most common products. When purchasing physical precious metals, we advise looking at both the lowest price per gram and the lowest spread. The spread indicates the difference between the buying and selling price. An A-label signifies that this is a favorable choice when buying gold and silver.

B-label

Investment score: A B-label means that this is a common coin or bar, which is widely tradable worldwide. However, a product with this label is more expensive than a product with an A-label, so as an investment in physical gold and silver, this product is not the most cost-effective choice.

Investment-score: C-label

Investment score: A C-label means that this is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. Products with a C-label are considered collectibles.
