Information

$20 silver coin Snowflake 2023 proof

This silver Snowflake coin was minted in 2023 by the Royal Canadian Mint. The coin has the highest quality possible for coins: proof.

In the center of the coin is a clear crystal. The coin has a total weight of 32.41 grams and contains 99.99% fine silver. The coin is unique because of its hexagonal design - which perfectly matches the six-sided snow crystal engraved on the obverse. The coin has a diameter of 42 millimeters and a face value of $20 in its country of origin - Canada. The worldwide circulation is limited to 8.500 pieces.

Your coin is packaged in an innovative new graphic cardboard box that also contains the certificate of authenticity. An insert allows you to easily display your encapsulated coin.

Design of the silver snowflake proof coin

The obverse - designed by Don Komarechka - depicts a stellar dendrite ice crystal. The proof quality of the coin focuses light on the six frosted branches or arms, while the clear crystal in the center adds a touch of winter sparkle. Also on the obverse are the initials - DK - of the coin designer.

The reverse shows the image of Queen Elizabeth II - designed by Susanna Blunt. All around you will see the inscriptions 1952 - 2022 - the years of her reign, ELIZABETH II - the Queen's name, CANADA 2023 - the country and year of issue, 20 DOLLARS - the face value of the coin in the country of origin and D. G. REGINA - the Latin abbreviation for "in God's grace, Queen."

Investment score

This product has a C-label (Collectibles). This means it is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. We consider products with a C-label to be collectibles. These are often coins minted in limited quantities, with luxury packaging and a unique theme.

Label information
Investment-score: A-label

Investment score: An A-label means that this is one of our most common products. When purchasing physical precious metals, we advise looking at both the lowest price per gram and the lowest spread. The spread indicates the difference between the buying and selling price. An A-label signifies that this is a favorable choice when buying gold and silver.

Investment-score: B-label

Investment score: A B-label means that this is a common coin or bar, which is widely tradable worldwide. However, a product with this label is more expensive than a product with an A-label, so as an investment in physical gold and silver, this product is not the most cost-effective choice.

Investment-score: C-label

Investment score: A C-label means that this is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. Products with a C-label are considered collectibles.
