Information

Silver coin Ice Age 2024 with mammoth

This unique collector's coin contains 2 troy ounces (62,206 grams) of 99.99% pure silver and has a diameter of 38 mm. The coin is issued by the Royal Canadian Mint and there has been a decision not to determine a fixed edition for this collector's coin.

The design of the second coin in the Ice Age series pays tribute to the Mammoth, the magnificent animal that once inhabited the icy steppes of what is now Canada. The size and strength of the mammoth are beautifully portrayed in the design which, at more than three meters high at the shoulder and with a weight of as much as 8 tons, formed an impressive image in the landscape of the Ice Age. The long, curved tusks, which are unmistakable as fossils from Canada's Ice Age, are a prominent feature of the design.

Design of the second Ice Age coin

On the obverse of the coin is a depiction of a woolly mammoth on an impressive view with its characteristic long and curved tusks. The mammoth is detailed to capture the rough fur and the powerful appearance of the animal. The rim of the coin bears the year 2024, the silver content 9999 and the country of issue CANADA

On the reverse of the coin is depicted King Charles III. The beautifully detailed portrait of the king of the United Kingdom is surrounded by several inscriptions, such as the face value of 10 DOLLARS, his name CHARLES III and the letters D. G. REX (the Latin abbreviation for “by the grace of God, king”).

Investment score

This product has a C-label. This means it is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. We consider products with a C-label to be collectibles. These are often coins minted in limited quantities, with luxury packaging and a unique theme.

Label information
Investment score: A-label Our top 100 products More information Less information

Investment score: An A-label means that this is one of our most common products. When purchasing physical precious metals, we advise looking at both the lowest price per gram and the lowest spread. The spread indicates the difference between the buying and selling price. An A-label signifies that this is a favorable choice when buying gold and silver.

Investment-score: B-label Common bullion coins and bars More information Less information

Investment score: A B-label means that this is a common coin or bar, which is widely tradable worldwide. However, a product with this label is more expensive than a product with an A-label, so as an investment in physical gold and silver, this product is not the most cost-effective choice.

Investment-score: C-label Collectibles More information Less information

Investment score: A C-label means that this is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. Products with a C-label are considered collectibles.
