This Tudor Beasts Seymour Unicorn set contains two silver coins of 1 troy ounce (31.103 grams) each of 99.9% fine silver in proof quality. This is the fifth issue in the series and this edition symbolizes strength, power and wealth.In total, the set contains 62.206 grams of 99.9% pure silver and both feature the same design of a unicorn holding a shield, based on the stone sculpture at Hampton Court Palace.
Design Tudor Beasts Seymour Unicore
Obverse
The obverse shows the design, created by David Lawrence, of a unicorn holding a shield. One coin is minted in proof mirror finish and the other has a reverse frosted finish. The obverse also shows the inscriptions DL - the initials of the coin designer, 2024 - the year of issue and SEYMOUR UNICORN - the name of the coin.
Reverse
The reverse shows the new official coin portrait of King Charles III, designed by Martin Jennings. Around it you can see the inscriptions 2 POUNDS - the face value of the coin in the country of issue, 2024 - the year of issue, CHARLES III - the name of the king and D. G. REX F. D. - the Latin abbreviation for "in God's grace, King.
Silver coin with proof finish
The set includes one coin with a proof mirror finish and the other coin has a reverse frosted finish. Both coins feature a border inscription that reads "HAMPTON COURT PALACE ROYAL TUDOR BEASTS."This silver move is the first in this collection to feature the new official coin portrait of King Charles III. The set has a limited mintage of 750 pieces and comes in presentation packaging along with the certificate of authenticity.
