1 troy ounce silver Kiwi coin 2023 specimen
This 1 troy ounce (31.1 gram) silver (99.9%) Kiwi coin comes from the Kiwi coin series of the New Zealand Post mint. Every year the design is dedicated to the ultimate symbol of New Zealand: the Kiwi. The Kiwi is a cute looking flightless bird that can only be found naturally in New Zealand. The Maoris are the ones who gave the bird its name. The Kiwi depicted on the coin is the so-called Tokoeka, one of the 5 types of Kiwi birds. What is striking about the coin are the beautiful details and finish. The mintage of the coin is limited to 5,000 pieces and the coin comes in a beautifully finished and characteristic black sliding box.
On the obverse of the coin is an image of a Kiwi looking for food in the water on Stewart Island. Furthermore, on this side in the upper edge is the face value of 1 dollar and on the bottom the inscription: Toekoeka Southern Brown Kiwi Apteryx Australis. The serrated outside gives the coin a robust appearance.
On the reverse you will find the image of the crowned Queen Elizabeth II with her name, the country of origin, the purity and the weight of the coin in the border around her. Also on this side of the coin the beautiful detailed design comes into its own again.

Investment score
This product has a C-label (Collectibles). This means it is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. We consider products with a C-label to be collectibles. These are often coins minted in limited quantities, with luxury packaging and a unique theme.
Label informationInvestment score: An A-label means that this is one of our most common products. When purchasing physical precious metals, we advise looking at both the lowest price per gram and the lowest spread. The spread indicates the difference between the buying and selling price. An A-label signifies that this is a favorable choice when buying gold and silver.
Investment score: A B-label means that this is a common coin or bar, which is widely tradable worldwide. However, a product with this label is more expensive than a product with an A-label, so as an investment in physical gold and silver, this product is not the most cost-effective choice.
Investment score: A C-label means that this is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. Products with a C-label are considered collectibles.
