This special edition of one of the most famous investment coins celebrates the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.On the obverse of the coin you can see the well-known design of the Britannia coin, designed by Philip Nathan. The reverse shows the first crowned coin portrait of His Majesty King Charles III, designed by Martin Jennings.
The coin contains 31.103 grams of 99.9% fine silver, has a diameter of 38.61 mm and a face value of £2 in the country of origin. The coin comes in a coin capsule or per 25 pieces in a tube. This special Britannia Coronation coin has a limited mintage of only 200,000 pieces.

Obverse
The obverse of the coin shows the well-known Britannia design. This shows Lady Britannia with safety features. All around are the inscriptions BRITANNIA - the name of the coin, 2023 - the year of issue and 1oz 999 FINE SILVER - the weight and silver content of the coin.
Reverse
The reverse of this 1 troy ounce silver coin features the first crowned coin portrait of King Charles III, designed by Martin Jennings. In the lower right corner of the portrait, you can see the inscription MJ - the initials of the designer. Around you see the inscriptions 2 POUNDS - the face value of the coin, 2023 - the year of issue, CHARLES III - the name of the king and DG REX FD - the Latin abbreviation for by the grace of God, King.
Security feature
The silver Britannia coin has four security features to prevent counterfeiting. These security features are:- Latent feature: a hologram effect where the padlock turns into a trident when viewed from a different angle.
- Surface animation: Micro details created on the coin by means of special laser engraving, which give the visual effect that the waves are in motion.
- Micro-text: the inscription DECUS ET TUTAMEN, in English “an ornament and a safeguard”, around the Britannia effigy has been created by means of special lasers.
