Information

1 troy ounce silver coin RAM kangaroo Outback Majesty 2021 Proof

2021 marks the twenty-eighth year of release of the Royal Australian Mint's (RAM) popular Kangaroo series. The title Outback Majesty evokes images of Australia’s arid centre, the epic Never Never and its undisputed king - the ubiquitous kangaroo. The Royal Australian Mint has stunningly immortalised both of these Australian icons on this shimmering Fine Silver Proof Coin.

Packed in RAM's new paper pulp case, this case is lighter and made from Bamboo and Bagasse, meaning that this material is both durable and sustainable, helping to reduce our environmental impact for future generations.

The designer was given an open brief to create a coin that celebrates the iconic kangaroo as the majestic king of the outback.

Obverse

The obverse portrays a muscular red kangaroo leaping above a dune-textured landscape, with two concentric rings rendered in the background to symbolize the sun. The stylized imagery is the work of the RAM's senior coin sculptor Aleksandra Stokic. Inscribed "1 OZ .999 AG," with credit given to the designer as "AS."

Reverse

The likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is centered on the reverse, accompanied by the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II," "AUSTRALIA" and "2021." The effigy was created by sculptor Jody Clark, the first employee of Great Britain's Royal Mint to design a monarch coinage portrait in more than a century.

Investment score

This product has a C-label (Collectibles). This means it is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. We consider products with a C-label to be collectibles. These are often coins minted in limited quantities, with luxury packaging and a unique theme.

Label information
Investment-score: A-label

Investment score: An A-label means that this is one of our most common products. When purchasing physical precious metals, we advise looking at both the lowest price per gram and the lowest spread. The spread indicates the difference between the buying and selling price. An A-label signifies that this is a favorable choice when buying gold and silver.

Investment-score: B-label

Investment score: A B-label means that this is a common coin or bar, which is widely tradable worldwide. However, a product with this label is more expensive than a product with an A-label, so as an investment in physical gold and silver, this product is not the most cost-effective choice.

Investment-score: C-label

Investment score: A C-label means that this is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. Products with a C-label are considered collectibles.
