Information

1 troy ounce silver coin Germania Fenrir 2022

The 1 troy ounce silver coin Germania Fenrir 2022 is the second coin from Germania Mint's mythical beasts series. This 1 troy ounce collectible coin is struck in 99.99% pure silver and has a face value of 5 Marks.

The unusual design on the front and back of the coin is based on the mythical Fenrir. The coin is designed so that the front and back merge into each other and are part of the same image. The Fenrir is a giant wolf with jaws that reach earth and sky, heralding the fall of the divine world. According to legend, the Fenrir grew up in miserable conditions under the god Odin. After his escape, Fenrir is to kill Odin in a great battle between gods and giants.

Design of the silver Fenrir coin

The obverse of the coin shows the head and front part of the Fenrir's body. The head is beautifully rendered with many details. The Fenrir is chained in this design and around its neck is therefore a collar with chains attached. The front of the coin shows the name of the mythical creature "FENRIR" and the silver content of the coin "1 oz Ag 999.9".

The reverse side of the coin shows the back of the Fenrir. Here, too, the beautiful details of the Fenrir's fur, among other things, stand out. Next to the Fenrir is Germania Mint's coat of arms, the double-headed eagle. The face value "5 MARK", the name of the mint house and the year of issue "GERMANIA 2022" can also be found on this side.

Germania Mint

Germania Mint

The Germania Mint is a German manufacturer of precious metals that also specializes in commemorative coins. The coins from Germania Mint are rich in detail. These details set Germania coins apart from others, making them highly sought after by collectors.

The name Germania Mint is derived from the ancient land of Germania. Germania was a historical region that included present-day Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Austria. It was once inhabited by around five million people, mainly from Germanic tribes, but the exact origins of Germania remain unclear.

Investment score

This product has a C-label (Collectibles). This means it is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. We consider products with a C-label to be collectibles. These are often coins minted in limited quantities, with luxury packaging and a unique theme.

Label information
A-label

Investment score: An A-label means that this is one of our most common products. When purchasing physical precious metals, we advise looking at both the lowest price per gram and the lowest spread. The spread indicates the difference between the buying and selling price. An A-label signifies that this is a favorable choice when buying gold and silver.

B-label

Investment score: A B-label means that this is a common coin or bar, which is widely tradable worldwide. However, a product with this label is more expensive than a product with an A-label, so as an investment in physical gold and silver, this product is not the most cost-effective choice.

Investment-score: C-label

Investment score: A C-label means that this is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. Products with a C-label are considered collectibles.
