The Gods of Olympus series was first released in 2014 and sold out almost immediately. The series was re-released in 2020 and this time an investment version was released in addition to the antique version. We have both editions in our assortment.This is the eighth edition in the Gods of Olympus series. Artemis is a Greek goddess and was called Diana by the Romans. She was the daughter of Leto and Zeus, the chief god. Her twin brother was Apollo. As a goddess of the hunt, Artemis (or Diana) is often depicted with a bow and arrow. So too on this coin.
In its country of origin - Tuvalu - the coin has a face value of $1. The coin weighs 1 troy ounce, equivalent to 31.103 grams, and contains 99.99% fine silver. The coin has a diameter of 40.9 mm and comes in a capsule. In addition, the coin has an antique finish that makes the design stand out beautifully.
Design of the silver Gods of Olympus Artemis coin
Obverse
The obverse shows Artemis in a forest with bow and arrow and accompanied by a deer. The obverse also shows the inscriptions ARTEMIS - the name of the coin, P - the mint mark of The Perth Mint and JM - the initials of the designer Jennifer McKenna.
Reverse
The reverse side shows the image of Queen Elizabeth II. On the reverse side you can also see the inscriptions IRB - the initials of the designer Ian Rank-Broadley, 1952 - 2022 - the years of Elizabeth II her reign, 1 DOLLAR - the face value, TUVALU - the country of issue, 2023 - the year of issue, 1oz 9999 Ag - the weight, purity and metal type and QUEEN ELIZABETH II - the name of the queen.
The obverse was designed by Jennifer McKenna and the reverse by Ian Rank-Broadley. The mintage is limited to 1,500 pieces worldwide.
